Rob Shehadie is one of Australia’s most popular and multitalented entertainers, with years of experience writing and acting in comedies including Fat Pizza (SBS TV), Housos (SBS TV), and Here Come the Habibs (Channel Nine), which he created.
For his role on Fat Pizza, Rob was nominated for a TV Week Logie in the category “Most Popular New Talent”, and he was also nominated for a 2017 Logie in the category of “Best Actor” for his role in Here Come The Habibs. In addition to his on-screen roles, Rob travels the country doing stand-up comedy and independent theatre, and performing MC duties at events.
While he remains best-known for his characters, Rob is increasingly looking to appear on current affairs and sports panel-type shows, and on radio where his witty and charismatic nature fits well with the fast-paced format.His unique combination of comedy, cultural and sporting insight makes him perfectly suited to radio, television and advertising.
Rob has written and starred in some of Australia’s favourite homegrown comedy shows. In addition to Fat Pizza, Housos and Here Come the Habibs, Rob has also appeared on Bondi Rescue (Channel Ten), Renovation Rescue (Channel Nine), Australian Idol (Channel Ten), The NRL Footy Show (Channel Nine), Music Max (Foxtel), Swift and Shift (SBS TV), Bogan Hunters (7mate), Housos Vs Authority (feature film) and Fat Pizza Vs Housos (feature film). He continues to write and act and is looking to do more live television.
A natural on radio, Rob is relatable and engages with audiences easily. He enjoys connecting and interacting with his audience and fans and the fast-paced nature of live radio. Rob has experience appearing on KIIS FM nationally and promoting his work and brands through radio, and he is seeking more opportunities in this area on the back of his success on television.
Rob has worked with the various NRL and A-League clubs in a promotional capacity at games, and with Cricket Australia to promote the Big Bash League. He has also been the face of major advertising campaigns such as for TAFE Western Sydney Institute and launched the “Educating Rob” and “Robs Campaign” web series. His character in the web series has a stereotypical western Sydney male persona and he uses a comical insight to showcase student life.
