Lin Jong

about lin jong

Lin joined the Bulldogs with their first selection (pick 9) in the 2011 AFL Rookie Draft, and was elevated to the Club’s senior list at the end of 2014.

Lin is a tough as nails midfielder who despite a serious injury in the 2016 AFL Elimination Final returned to play in the 2016 Footscray Bulldogs’ VFL Grand Final victory, receiving the Norm Goss medal as the best afield.

Lin is a two-time VFL premiership player (’14, ’16) with the Footscray Bulldogs and we are really excited to support him on his continuing AFL journey.

Jong is an advocate for multiculturalism in the game, being an AFL Multicultural ambassador in 2020, as well as men’s mental health, working with Movember in a more official ambassador role in 2020.
