Jake Birtwhistle is recognised globally as one of the world’s best triathletes.
Following a promising junior middle-distance track career during which he was crowned Australian junior champion 11 times, Jake converted to triathlon at age 17.
Now 24, Jake had a hugely successful 2018, winning silver in the individual event at his home Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast, Australia. He was also a member of the gold winning Australian mixed relay team.
In the 2018 ITU World Triathlon Series Jake finished third overall for the season, and he took silver in Yokohama and bronze in Edmonton and Montréal along the way.
Jake has set the target of becoming the World and 2020 Olympic Champion.
