Jake Birtwhistle is recognised globally as one of the world’s best triathletes.
Following a promising junior middle-distance track career during which he was crowned Australian junior champion 11 times, Jake converted to triathlon at age 17.
Jake had a hugely successful 2018, winning silver in the individual event at his home Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast, Australia. He was also a member of the gold winning Australian mixed relay team. He also finished third overall in the ITU World Triathlon Series helped by a silver in Yokohama and bronze in Edmonton and Montréal.
In 2019, Jake had his first victory claiming gold at an ITU Triathlon World Series race in Leeds and another in Hamburg. He finished the series in 6th place overall.
Jake has set the target of becoming the World and Olympic Champion.
