Clint Bolton

about clint bolton

Clint Bolton is one of the most decorated goalkeepers this country has produced and has successfully transitioned into a post-playing media career with some of Australia’s most notable broadcasters.

Born in Bundaberg, Bolton was an Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) graduate in 1993 who established himself as one of the best goalkeepers in the domestic game having won four national league Championships across the NSL and A-League eras, including two with Sydney FC.

A four-time Socceroo, he was a part of Australia’s winning-2000 Oceania Cup of Nations as well as the subsequent 2001 Confederations Cup squad, and his 479 national league appearances is the second most of any player in Australian football history.

After spending the last three years of his playing career with Melbourne Heart, Bolton retired in 2013 and has made regular media appearances since, most notably on SBS and SEN during their respective coverage of the A-League.
