Mitch McGovern
Mitch McGovern is a high-flying intercept marker who plays for the Carlton Football Club in the AFL and is a pivotal piece of their defence.
Drafted to the Adelaide Crows with the 43rd pick in the 2014 National draft, Mitch comes from a handy football family, with his father Andrew being an inaugural player for the Fremantle Football Club and his brother Jeremy a current player for the West Coast Eagles.
At the end of the 2018 season, Mitch was traded to Carlton, where he has become a crucial part of their team and their hopes of winning a flag.
Away from football, Mitch loves playing golf with teammates, spending time with family and travelling across Australia, and the US. His passion for sport has taken him across the world to witness his favourite NBA and NFL teams.
Mitch is undertaking a course in Construction, whilst partaking in various coaching roles. His time in football has allowed him the opportunity to give back to causes that he is passionate about, such as the Heart Kids foundation and the Eddie Betts Foundation.
