Marijana Rajcic

Marijana “MJ” Randall is a former elite soccer and Australian Rules footballer, whose decorated dual-code career has made her one of South Australia’s most respected female athletes.

Before making her mark in the AFLW, MJ built an impressive career in soccer, representing Adelaide United in the W-League and spending six years at the Club, including a season as captain. A natural competitor with elite athletic instincts, she later transitioned into Australian Rules football as the AFLW competition continued to grow.

After taking up the code, MJ was drafted by the Adelaide Crows with pick 32 in the 2017 AFL Women’s Draft. She made her AFLW debut in Round 3 of the 2018 season against the Western Bulldogs and quickly became a reliable presence in Adelaide’s defensive group.

MJ went on to play a key role in the Crows’ 2019 AFLW Premiership campaign, before becoming a two-time AFLW Premiership player when Adelaide claimed the flag again in 2022. Across her AFLW career, she played 50 games for the Crows and was recognised for her composure, competitiveness and leadership in defence.

In January 2023, MJ announced her retirement from AFLW, before moving into coaching with Adelaide’s AFLW program. She has since continued her involvement with the Crows as a defensive coach, helping guide the next generation of players at the Club.

Away from sport, MJ’s life has also entered an exciting new chapter. She and Chelsea Randall welcomed their son Tomi in October 2023 and were married in March 2025.
