W Sports and Media (WSM) is pleased to have partnered Australian sporting royalty with one of the world’s biggest gaming brands.

Tennis legend Lleyton Hewitt and his eldest son Cruz (an aspiring tennis professional himself) were featured as the faces of Nintendo’s Switch Sports game – the latest in its Nintendo Wii Sports series.

The new game allows players to connect with one another in an active, energetic and immersive way and is designed to be played by people of all ages and abilities.

WSM saw Lleyton and son Cruz as the perfect pairing for Nintendo’s launch of the game in Australia with the former world number one and two-time Grand Slam Champion showing off his fatherly side in the now-released campaign.

Launching live on 29 April 2022, the TVC for the game features Lleyton and Cruz engaging in a friendly but competitive father-son dual for supremacy while testing out the game on the iconic console.

While the younger Hewitt is filmed getting the better of his famous father in a game of tennis, Lleyton bounces back when the two square off in a game of bowling and even lets out his trademark ‘Come On’ celebration.  

The script provides viewers with a unique opportunity to see the Hewitts behind closed doors and highlights that despite their generational differences, they are a typical, down to earth Aussie family who doesn’t take themselves too seriously.

Lleyton and Cruz Hewitt’s partnership with Nintendo sees them join the likes of Serena Williams, Christina Aguilera and the legendary father-daughter pairing of Robin and Zelda Williams as famous ambassadors for the brand over the years.
