Congratulations to WSM talent Jenna McCormick on joining Danish Elitedivisionen club AGF Fodbold for the 2021/22 European season.
In doing so, the 26-year-old Matilda is reunited with Danish football legend and AGF manager Katrine Pedersen who played alongside McCormick during the 2014-15 W-League season.
Located in the coastal city of Aarhus (the second largest city in Denmark), the club was founded last year following a merger between three of the city’s top clubs.
McCormick made a winning start to life at her new club as she came on for her debut just in time to witness AGF’s last minute winner in a 2-1 victory over KoldingQ.
A veteran of 96 W-League appearances, McCormick spent the 2020/21 W-League season with Melbourne City and was most recently plying her trade with South Melbourne in NPLW Victoria.
The two-time AFLW Premiership winner is also no stranger to playing overseas having previously playing in Iceland, Norway, and Spain.
We wish Jenna all the best in Aarhus and cannot wait to follow her exploits throughout the course of the season.
