Celeste Mucci

Celeste Mucci is an Australian sprinter and hurdler who has represented Australia at the 2018 and 2022 Commonwealth Games.

A junior heptathlon star, she made headlines in 2017 by breaking the heptathlon national junior record which had stood for 27 years.

Fluent in Italian, Celeste finished fourth in the heptathlon in her Commonwealth Games debut in the Gold Coast in 2018 before making her World Championships debut in Doha a year later.

Having overcome injury issues that resulted in her missing out on the Tokyo Olympics in 2021, Celeste competed in the hurdles event at both the 2022 World Championships in Eugene and Commonwealth Games in Birmingham (where she also participated in the 4x100m relay race).

After having hamstring surgery in February, Celeste put this setback behind her and went to work on her rehab and got herself to the point that she remarkably qualified for her first Olympic Games in Paris, doing Australia proud on the 100m Hurdles.

A New Balance athlete and fashion marketing student, she has previously promoted products for the likes of Bondi Sands and L’Oréal.
