Aleksandar Vukic
Aleksandar ‘Aleks’ Vukic is an Australian professional tennis player.
Born in Sydney, Aleks enjoyed a decorated college tennis career at the University of Illinois (2015-18) where he was named three-time All-American.
2020 saw Aleks achieve two career firsts – qualifying for his first Grand Slam at the 2020 French Open in addition to making his first ATP Challenger final in Monterrey, Mexico.
After an impressive end to 2021, Aleks enjoyed a breakout summer in 2022 which saw him secure three top-50 wins and maiden ATP quarter-final singles and doubles appearances at the Adelaide International.
In 2023, Aleks' game reached new heights as he reached his maiden ATP Tour Final in Atlanta and broke into the top 50 in the ATP Rankings for the first time. Aleks claimed his second ATP Challenger title and enjoyed a run to the third round of the Toronto Masters in his brilliant season.
After an impressive and consistent 2024 season on the ATP Tour, Aleks enjoyed a career-best run at the Australian Open to kick off his 2025 season. He defeated no. 22 seed Sebastian Korda to reach the third round of a major for the first time.
Following the summer, Aleks was called up to the Australian Davis Cup team for the first time, becoming the 116th player to wear the famous Green and Gold.
Aleks is also a dual-linguist, speaking both English and Serbo-Croatian. Off the court, he enjoys playing and supporting both football and basketball, being a big fan of Arsenal in the English Premier League and Lebron James in the NBA.
