Keenan Ramsey is a Australian Rules Footballer who represents the Adelaide Crows as a Rookie, and regularly stars in the club’s SANFL outfit.
Recruited with Adelaide’s second pick in the AFL Rookie Draft, Ramsey has the ability to play at either end of the ground. The Port Lincoln product played in defence for South Australia at the Under-18 National Championships, shutting down his opponent and also providing good rebound. He played in attack for the Port Magpies Under-18s and Reserves, and further enhanced his credentials as a forward by registering a perfect score in the goalkicking test at the Draft Combine.
Keenan made his Crows debut in his home town of Port Lincoln as part of the NAB Challenge and also played in the pre-season Showdown against Port Adelaide. He made his SANFL debut in the Club’s season-opener versus North Adelaide where he booted two goals. Ramsey bagged three goals in Adelaide’s first SANFL Showdown in Balaklava and led the team’s goalkicking for much of the year, missing just one game due to injury. He also showed his versatility with stints in defence in the closing rounds and was retained on Adelaide’s rookie list for Season 2016.
