Olympian and world youth champion
Georgia Baker is one of Australia’s most promising up and coming cyclists, who recently realised her dream of representing her country at the Rio Olympics.
After being identified by the Tasmanian Institute of Sport as a future track star, her career has gone from strength to strength, recording back-to-back U19 world title wins in 2011 and 2012. She also claimed a gold and silver medal in the non-Olympic scratch race across the two events.
Georgia has since gone on to claim Oceania gold in the Omnium event at the 2016 Oceania Championships and took out the non-Olympic individual pursuit title.
Following such success, Georgia teamed up with Annette Edmondson, Amy Cure and Ashlee Ankudinoff in her first senior World Championship in 2016, where she gained qualification to the 2016 Rio Olympic Games and established herself as one of Australia’s most talented track cyclists.
