Currently playing for Carlton Football Club, Eddie is renowned for his flare on the football field. Eddie Betts is one of the AFLs biggest names and has been a dominant forward his entire career, having kicked over 500 goals to date.
Eddie has earned many accolades including being named in the All-Australian team three times, winning AFL goal of the year four times, playing for Australia in the International Rules Series on numerous occasions, representing the Indigenous All Stars, and being recognised as an AFL Life Member.
During his time at Adelaide Football Club, Eddie’s impressive work ethic has been recognised by his coaches and teammates winning the Chelsea Phillis Coaches Award in 2014 and the Phil Walsh Best Team Man Award in 2016. Not only that, but Eddie earned himself leading goal kicker at the club for the last four seasons.
Eddie is an incredible role model on and off the field. He is now a published author of two children’s books in the ‘Eddie’s Lil Homies’ series promoting kindness, culture and acceptance.
