Wade Ormsby is tracking well towards qualifying for the season-ending DP World Tour Championship in Dubai, currently sitting 35th in the European Tour standings following strong finishes of T16 at the BMW International Open which was won by Sweden’s Alex Noren and T12 at the Open de France, won by Scotland’s Russell Knox, taking home $150,000 in prize money for his efforts in France. He continues his good form the start of the season where he won the Hong Kong Open by one shot from Rafael Cabrera-Bello, his maiden win on the European Tour. Wade will now play the Scottish Open where a top 3 finish among non-qualifiers will ensure his place in the field for British Open at Carnoustie which starts 19 July.
