Currently the coach of Brisbane City in the Queensland National Premier League, former Socceroo turned media personality, John Kosmina is one of the most passionate characters in Australian football.

Known lovingly by football fans around Australia as ‘Kossie’, he played 60 times for Australia, scoring 25 goals. Kossie also won two National Soccer League Championships as a player, and the inaugural A-League Premiership as Adelaide United coach. Inducted into the Football Federation Australia Hall of Fame in 1999, Kossie is the Socceroos’ fifth leading all-time goalscorer.

Kossie has regularly appeared as an analyst on Fox Sports for many years, offering his expert insight and forthright opinions. Frequently featured on shows such as Shootout and Kick Off, as well as pre and post-match programs, Kossie is a polished media professional.

He is also very comfortable on radio, having been the subject of many interviews during his coaching career. Kossie is an accomplished public speaker as well, having spoken at many corporate events, in front of large and more intimate crowds.

Since arriving at Brisbane City, Kossie has turned the club’s fortunes around, significantly improving on a ninth placed finish in 2015 to take City to fifth position in 2016, finishing just two points short of the finals.

During the National Premier League offseason, Kossie is looking to continue his media and speaking involvement as frequently as possible. His sharp analyses and confidence make Kossie the perfect candidate to enhance your football programming or next corporate event.
